Blind Rivets

Designed for one sided applications, blind rivets are used to join sheets of metal together.  Using a hand or automated rivet gun, the rivet is inserted through a pre-drilled hole in the metal until the rivet head is snug against the surface.  As the rivet gun is activated, the mandrel is pulled toward the rivet head.  The mandrel mushrooms the rivet body pulling it tightly toward the rivet head securing the metal pieces together.  Once secure, the mandrel itself breaks off flush with the rivet head.
