Hex Cap Screws
Hex cap screws are threaded bolts with a six sided, hexagonal head and a washer face under head.  They have a number of uses but are typically used in machinery and construction applications.

Hex cap screws fall under ANSI (American National Standards Institute) / ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) standards B18.2.1 which denotes the chemical and mechanical specifications for bolts, screws and studs.  They are available in grades 2, 5 and 8 and various stainless steel alloys most commonly 18-8 and 316.  The tensile strength is between 60,000 psi and 150,000 psi depending on the grade and how the steel is treated.
